40K cops, CCTV cams seek to make Dec 31 safe

The police are not taking any chances in keeping Mumbai safe during New Year celebrations. Police commissioner Subodh Kumar Jaiswal has instructed at all 93 police stations in the city to carry out combing operations and surprise checks at hotels, bars garages and lodges.
